Te Aka Māori Dictionary

My health and wellness philosophies guide the way I approach coaching sessions. I believe in the fundamental connectivity of humanity. Our individual wellness is inextricably bound to our collective wellness, each informing the other.

Your individual health does not exist in a vacuum. We do not work on your health goals without an awareness of how the world around us— local and global events, cultural norms and expectations— influences and impacts us all. It is not to help you ignore the world around you that we do this work together, it’s to support you to engage with it.

My curiosity about people extends to cultural assumptions about how our lives are “meant to” be. I understand that colonial capitalist prescriptions and value-structures frequently don’t serve us, this is especially true for people of minority experiences.

I hold in high regard the coaching value of curiosity without judgement. I strive to create and hold a space of presence and trust, where the focus is on you, your values, and your goals.
